C.A.R.L., TEAMS, and AI Integrations (EPX+)
Overview
EPX+ gives members access to AI-powered assistants, executive agents, deep research, workflows, and integrations that help them move faster across business, networking, and daily execution.
Inside the EPX platform, members can use C.A.R.L., TEAMS, and AI Integrations to ask questions, research topics, connect tools, trigger workflows, and work with AI executive agents.
The goal is to help members use EPX+ as an intelligent command center for their business.
1. C.A.R.L.
C.A.R.L. is your AI networking and support agent inside EPX.
C.A.R.L. can help members ask questions, get recommendations, find useful connections, understand opportunities, and take action using connected tools.
Members can use C.A.R.L. for:
- business questions
- networking help
- member discovery
- research support
- content ideas
- workflow triggers
- integration-based actions
- general AI assistance
Example questions for C.A.R.L.
You can ask:
- “Who in EPX can help me with digital marketing?”
- “Are there any members in Miami?”
- “Find members who may be useful for my business.”
- “Help me think through this business problem.”
- “Summarize this topic for me.”
- “Use my connected tools to help answer this.”
C.A.R.L. is designed to help members get faster answers and connect EPX intelligence with their business needs.
2. Deep Research / Deep Search
C.A.R.L. also includes a Deep Research option.
Deep Research allows members to run deeper internet-based research and receive more detailed answers based on their requirements.
This is useful when a normal chat response is not enough and the member needs more complete research, analysis, or market information.
Members can use Deep Research for:
- company research
- competitor research
- industry research
- market trends
- topic analysis
- business strategy research
- lead or account research
- content research
Example Deep Research requests
You can ask:
- “Research this company and summarize what they do.”
- “Find trends in this industry.”
- “Give me a deeper analysis of this market.”
- “Research competitors in this space.”
- “Find useful information about this business opportunity.”

Deep Research helps members get more complete information without needing to manually search across multiple sources.
3. TEAMS
TEAMS gives members access to AI executive agents that represent different business functions. Each agent is designed to help with a specific area of business.
Examples of TEAMS agents may include:
- Chief Marketing Officer
- Chief Strategy Officer
- Chief Financial Officer
- Chief Operating Officer
- Chief Legal Officer
- VP of Sales
- VP of Human Resources
- VP of Development & CIO
- VP of Account Management
- VP of Customer Service & Technical Support
How members use TEAMS
Members can:
- Select a TEAMS agent
- Start a chat with that agent
- Ask questions related to that agent’s role
- Add other agents into the same chat
- Use integrations inside the conversation
- Start a voice call with agents
- Train the team with business information
Multi-agent conversations
Inside TEAMS, members can bring multiple agents into one conversation.
For example, a member can start with the Chief Marketing Officer and then add the Chief Financial Officer or Chief Strategy Officer to get different perspectives.
This allows members to discuss business problems with multiple AI executives at the same time.
Voice calls with TEAMS
Members can also start a voice call with TEAMS agents.
This allows them to speak with agents, ask questions, and get support in a more conversational format.
4. Training Your Team
The Train Team option allows members to provide information that helps their AI executive team better understand their business.
The more relevant business context the team has, the better the agents can support the member.
Members should provide useful information such as:
- company overview
- website URL
- LinkedIn profile
- target audience
- services or products
- business goals
- brand positioning
- internal documents
- strategy documents
- sales or marketing materials
This helps TEAMS agents give more relevant answers and better business recommendations.
5. AI Integrations
EPX+ also allows members to connect external tools and services directly inside C.A.R.L. and TEAMS.
These integrations allow agents to access information, trigger workflows, run automations, and complete work across connected platforms.
Where to find integrations
After logging into EPX:
- Go to C.A.R.L. or TEAMS
- Open the chat area
- Click AI Integrations
- A modal will open with available connection options
The available integration sections include:
- APIs
- Zaps
- MCP
- Workflows
Each section allows members to connect different tools and services.
6. APIs
The APIs section allows members to connect supported platforms directly to EPX.
Currently available API connections may include:
- Google Drive
- Google Analytics
These connections are completed through a Google OAuth connection. Members will be asked to sign in with their Google account and authorize access.
Google Drive
Google Drive allows C.A.R.L. or TEAMS agents to work with approved files and content from the member’s Google Drive.
For security and privacy, C.A.R.L. and TEAMS agents do not access the member’s entire Google Drive.
After Google Drive is connected, members must create a folder inside their Google Drive named exactly:
EPX_KB
C.A.R.L. and TEAMS agents will only be able to access files and content placed inside the EPX_KB folder.
Any files, folders, or content outside the EPX_KB folder will not be accessible to EPX agents.
This restriction helps keep the rest of the member’s Google Drive data private and protected.
Members should only place documents, resources, reports, notes, and business materials they want EPX agents to use inside the EPX_KB folder.
Members can use this connection to allow agents to work with approved files such as:
- documents
- reports
- meeting notes
- client files
- research files
- internal resources
- shared business materials
Example Google Drive requests
After Google Drive is connected and the EPX_KB folder has been created, members can ask:
- “Find the latest file inside my EPX_KB folder.”
- “Summarize this document from my EPX_KB folder.”
- “Use the files in my EPX_KB folder to help answer this question.”
- “Review the connected documents in my EPX_KB folder and give me the key takeaways.”
If a file is not inside the EPX_KB folder, C.A.R.L. and TEAMS agents will not be able to access it.
Google Analytics
Google Analytics allows EPX agents to access website analytics data so members can ask questions about traffic, user behavior, and performance.
Example Google Analytics requests
Members can ask:
- “How is my website traffic performing?”
- “What pages are getting the most visits?”
- “Summarize my recent website performance.”
- “What should I improve based on my analytics?”
7. Zaps
The Zaps section allows members to connect Zapier automations to EPX.
A Zapier connection works through a webhook URL. The member creates or connects a Zap inside Zapier, then uses the webhook URL inside EPX.
Once connected, the Zap can be triggered directly from C.A.R.L. or TEAMS.
How Zapier connection works
- Create a Zap inside Zapier
- Use a webhook trigger in Zapier
- Copy the webhook URL
- Add or connect that webhook URL inside EPX
- Name the Zap connection clearly
- Activate the connection
- Call the Zap from C.A.R.L. or TEAMS when needed
How to use it in chat
Once the Zap is connected, members can call it by referencing the Zap connection name.
Example:
“Run @zapier_connection_name”
or
“Send this lead to @zapier_connection_name”
Example Zapier uses
Members can use Zapier to connect EPX with tools such as:
- Gmail
- Google Sheets
- Slack
- HubSpot
- Monday.com
- Trello
- Airtable
- CRM tools
- email platforms
- project management tools
This allows members to trigger external actions directly from an EPX chat.
8. MCP Connections
The MCP section allows members to connect supported platforms through MCP connections.
MCP connections allow C.A.R.L. and TEAMS agents to communicate with external platforms and perform supported actions inside those platforms.
Current examples may include:
- GHL MCP
- monday.com MCP
Once connected, the member can ask C.A.R.L. or a TEAMS agent to retrieve information, update records, or perform available functions based on the connected MCP tool.
Example MCP requests
Members can ask:
- “Check this contact in GHL.”
- “Create a task in Monday.”
- “Find the latest item from this board.”
- “Update this record.”
- “Summarize what is inside this connected system.”
The available actions depend on the connected MCP platform and the permissions provided.
9. Workflows
The Workflows section allows members to connect external workflows from platforms such as:
- n8n
- Zapier
- Make
- other webhook-based workflow tools
This works through a webhook URL. The external workflow is connected to EPX, and then C.A.R.L. or TEAMS can trigger that workflow from chat.
How workflow connection works
- Create a workflow in an external platform such as n8n, Zapier, or Make
- Add a webhook trigger to the workflow
- Copy the webhook URL
- Connect that webhook URL inside EPX
- Name the workflow clearly
- Activate the workflow connection
- Run the workflow from C.A.R.L. or TEAMS when needed
Example workflow uses
Members can create workflows to:
- send an email
- update a CRM record
- create a task
- send data to Google Sheets
- generate a report
- notify a team in Slack
- trigger a lead follow-up
- process a form submission
- run a custom business automation
Once the workflow is connected, the member can trigger it directly from chat.
Example:
“Run the client follow-up workflow.”
or
“Trigger the new lead workflow.”
10. Recommended Setup Order
For best results, members should connect integrations in this order:
- Connect Google Drive
- Create a Google Drive folder named exactly EPX_KB
- Add approved files and content to the EPX_KB folder
- Connect Google Analytics, if needed
- Connect Zapier or workflow tools
- Connect MCP platforms such as GHL or Monday.com
- Train TEAMS with business context
- Test the connection inside C.A.R.L. or TEAMS
- Start using integrations in daily workflows
11. Testing the Integration
After connecting any integration, members should test it with a simple request.
Google Drive test
“Can you see the files inside my EPX_KB folder?”
If the agent can access and summarize files inside the EPX_KB folder, the Google Drive connection is working correctly.
If the agent cannot find a file, confirm that:
- the Google Drive account is connected
- the folder name is spelled exactly EPX_KB
- the file has been added inside the EPX_KB folder
- the file is not located outside the EPX_KB folder
C.A.R.L. and TEAMS agents cannot access files that are outside the EPX_KB folder.
Zapier test
“Run my test Zap.”
MCP test
“Check if the Monday.com MCP connection is working.”
Workflow test
“Run my test workflow.”
If the agent responds correctly or the external action happens, the integration is working.
12. Common Issues
The connection is not working
Check that the account is connected and active.
The agent cannot access files
Check Google Drive permissions and make sure the correct Google account was connected.
Also confirm that the files are inside the Google Drive folder named exactly:
EPX_KB
C.A.R.L. and TEAMS agents will not be able to access files outside the EPX_KB folder.
A Zap or workflow does not run
Check that the webhook URL is correct and the workflow is active in the external platform.
MCP actions are not working
Check that the MCP connection is enabled and the correct permissions are available.
The wrong workflow runs
Make sure each connection has a clear name so the member can call the correct one inside chat.
13. Best Practices
Use clear names for every connection.
Good examples:
- Google Drive - EPX_KB
- Zapier - New Lead Notification
- n8n - Client Report Workflow
- Monday MCP - Project Tasks
- GHL MCP - CRM Contacts
Avoid vague names like:
- Test
- Workflow 1
- My Zap
- Connection
Clear names make it easier for C.A.R.L. and TEAMS agents to understand which integration the member wants to use.
For Google Drive, members should remember that only files inside the EPX_KB folder can be accessed by C.A.R.L. and TEAMS agents.
