Profile, Needs, Goals + Fine Tune
Where to find it: Right rail / account menu > My Profile or My Account; Basecamp Fine Tune; onboarding forms
Description
Your Profile and Fine Tune settings help EPX understand who you are, what you care about, what you are building, what you need, and what opportunities would be valuable to you. The more complete your inputs are, the less generic EPX becomes.
What is it?
Your Profile is your personal and professional identity inside EPX. Needs and Goals explain what would help you personally and professionally. Fine Tune tells C.A.R.L. and Basecamp what matters most right now so briefings, signals, introductions, events, opportunities, and recommendations become more relevant over time.
How does it work?
Members can update Profile from the right rail/account menu and Fine Tune from the platform navigation or Basecamp-related surfaces. Inputs may include skills needed, strategic partners, trusted services, capital needs, business goals, travel plans, interests, events, personal performance priorities, mentors, clients, investors, or experts.
Why is it valuable?
EPX personalization depends on context. A complete Profile gives EPX the member identity. Fine Tune gives EPX the member's current direction. Together they help C.A.R.L. bring the right network, knowledge, opportunities, and invitations to the member.
FAQs
Why is completing my Profile important?

What is Fine Tune?
Fine Tune is where members tell EPX and C.A.R.L. what would help them most right now.

What should I put in Fine Tune?
Be specific. Examples include investor needs, partner types, service needs, travel plans, industry interests, and desired introductions.
What if Basecamp or C.A.R.L. feels irrelevant?
Review and update Profile, Fine Tune, Needs and Goals, Interests and Communications, and location preferences first.

Fine Tune is primarily used for relevance and recommendations. Members should avoid entering sensitive information unless EPX specifically requests it through an approved secure workflow.
